Serpentarium Of La Paz, B.C.S.
Baja California Sur is a contrast of environments, since in it the sea and the desert coexist creating beautiful landscapes that produce a unique flora and fauna. That is why there are different organizations that focus on studying, protecting and promoting the different endemic species in the region, one of them is the Serpentarium of the city of La Paz.
With a schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from Tuesday to Saturday, this enclosure is in charge of caring for and exhibiting more than 200 species belonging to the flora and fauna of Baja California Sur, it has a wide variety of birds, turtles , snakes, up to an alligator more than 2 and a half meters long.

You can enjoy a guided tour where they show you each of the animals they protect in the place, as well as the possibility of interacting with one of the species. They also provide you with information of all kinds about animals, such as their habitat, longevity, whether or not they are in danger of extinction, as well as the care taken to keep them healthy and happy.

Another thing that the Serpentarium offers is courses on the treatment and prevention against bites of poisonous animals, as well as a sponsorship program where you can adopt some of the species that they keep in the serpentarium and financially support it for its maintenance, since is a non-profit organization.
