This building is as beautiful as interesting, one of the things that the attribute to this construction is that it was designed by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, a world famous architect and who is the author of one of the wonders of the world, the Eiffel Tower. Although the origin of this construction is uncertain, as experts deny the French architect’s design, the people of Baja California Sur recognize it as theirs.

The church arrived in Baja California Sur in 1896 and its construction ended until 1897. It was brought by the El Boleo mining company, which took the request from various members of the community who demanded a Catholic building. It is said that the church was designed for the Universal Exposition in Paris, after being exhibited it was moved to Brussels, where the owner of the company found it and brought it to Baja California Sur.
