In the municipality of Comondú, Baja California Sur, about 63 kilometers from Ciudad Constitución, there is a small and beautiful fishing port, which has a huge commercial and tourist burden. It is known as: Adolfo López Mateos Port.

Its main attraction is that it is one of the best places for whale gray whales, which is cause for celebration among the people and formed a large festival in the season when the whales visit the waters of Baja California Sur. Another thing for which Puerto Adolfo López Mateos is known is for its beautiful waters, in addition to having beautiful wild places nearby to visit and enjoy the marine and desert flora and fauna.

In Puerto Adolfo López Mateos, the Turtle Festival is also held to commemorate the long journey that yellow turtles make from the distant beaches of Japan to the waters of Baja California Sur. While this natural migratory event is taking place, various cultural activities such as dancing, artistic and culinary presentations are carried out in order to raise awareness about the care of nature.

Puerto Adolfo López Mateos also has beaches rich in marine fauna, therefore there is an enormous tradition of families of fishermen who make a living from exploiting the wealth of the sea, also the waters of the port are a place where various sport fishing events are held, some of international stature that brings together large numbers of sport fishermen in order to get the highest trophy.
